History

DONAUCHEM s.r.o. is a member of the international group DONAU CHEMIE AG, whose origins date back to the year 1828.

Currently, DONAU CHEMIE AG consists of the following business units:
• Donau Chemie
• Donau Carbon
• Donauchem

Donau Chemie AG and Donau Carbon GmbH are production plants manufacturing various chemical substances such as sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite iron chloride-based coagulants,  activated carbon.

The Donauchem group, with its headquarters in Vienna, has subsidiaries in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia.

Donauchem Slovakia was established in 1993.

Initially, it focused on the sale of technical-grade chemicals. A significant milestone in its history occurred in 2005 when the parent company acquired URSETA Slovakia, and both Slovak companies merged to form DONAUCHEM s.r.o.

The product portfolio of DONAUCHEM s.r.o. was significantly expanded to include solvents, additives, and specialty chemicals for the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and feed industries.

In 2022, DONAUCHEM s.r.o. built a new company headquarters as well as modern warehouse facilities in Senec, meeting the highest legislative standards.
